The '''Calgary Herald Building''' is a self-storage facility owned by U-Haul. The building is located at 215 16 St SE, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The facility was built in 1980, and served as the head office for the Calgary Herald newspaper. The fire alarm system is mostly original.

The building is protected by an Edwards EST3 hybrid-addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main electrical room in the basement. The system runs Edwards' Signature addressable protocol, and utilizes a contactor to activate the bells. The system coding is continuous.

There is an Edwards EST3-LCDANN annunciator in the main entrance vestibule.

====Notification Appliances====
Most notification appliances are Edwards "Durabel" 6000D vibrating bells (6" and 10" gong). Some areas have Edwards 438D-6N5C and Siemens SFV120-6A vibrating bells (6" gong) as deficiency replacements.

There are Edwards C2M-PD conventional photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the main atrium and at the top of each stairwell; System Sensor C2W-BA conventional photoelectric smoke detectors can also be found in these areas. There are conventional heat detectors in some areas, models unknown. There are Edwards SIGA-OSD addressable optical smoke detectors in the main elevator bank lobbies, mounted on Edwards SIGA-SB bases.

There are Edwards EOL-P1 end of line resistor plates on all conventional and signal circuits.
