The building is protected by a Mircom FX-2000 conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule. The system coding is temporal.

====Notification Appliances====
All notification appliances but two are Edwards "Durabel" 6100D vibrating bells (6" gong). There are two Mircom BL-6B motor bells (6" gong) on the first floor as deficiency replacements. Bells are located throughout all corridors; there are no insuite devices in this building.

All pull stations but one are Mircom MS-401 conventional single-action pull stations. There is a Notifier NFM-950B conventional single-action pull station in the main floor corridor by the fire doors. All pull stations were installed in the 2000s, replacing Edwards 275-C111 conventional pull stations, which in turn replaced Edwards 274-101 conventional pull stations in the 1980s.

====Automatic Detection Devices====
There are System Sensor C2W-BA conventional photoelectric smoke detectors throughout all aboveground corridors, and at the top of each stairwell. There are Edwards 245A conventional 135°F fixed-temperature heat detectors in the boiler room and rear basement corridor. There is a Mircom TD-135 conventional 135°F fixed-temperature heat detector in the laundry room as a deficiency replacement.

====EOLs====
There are Edwards EOL-P1 end of line resistor plates on all circuits but one. There is a Mircom MP-300 end of line resistor plate on the remaining circuit.
