'''Rocky Mountain Plaza''' is a high-rise office building located at 615 Macleod Trail SE, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The building houses several offices on the upper floors, including the US consulate, and Tim Hortons and Stone Bowl on the first floor. The building was built in 1972, and the fire alarm system was upgraded in 2009.

The building is protected by a Mircom FX-2000 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main electrical room, in the parkade. The system runs Mircom's CLIP addressable protocol, is equipped with voice evacuation, and is configured for two-stage operation. Please see the Sequence of Operation below for the alert and alarm signals.

There is a Mircom RAX-LCD annunciator paired with a Mircom RAX-1048TZDS annunciator, fire phone and remote microphone in the main floor elevator lobby.

Most notification appliances are System Sensor "SpectrAlert Advance" SPSCWA speaker/strobes (white, ceiling-mount, set to 70V/15cd). The parkade has Mircom SPS-204A-70 speaker/strobes (white, ceiling-mount, 70V, set to 15cd). All stairwells have Mircom SP-204A-70 remote speakers (white, 70V). The backroom of Tim Hortons has a Mircom "Select-A-Horn/Strobe" FHS-240R horn/strobe (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd). The washroom hallway of Tim Hortons has a System Sensor "L-Series" SPSRLA speaker/strobe (red, wall-mount, set to 70V/15cd).

====Pull Stations====
Most pull stations are Mircom MS-402 conventional single-action pull stations, wired to Mircom MIX-M501MA addressable monitor modules (2 per station). Some areas have Mircom MS-402AD addressable single-action pull stations as deficiency replacements.

====Automatic Detection Devices====
There are Mircom MIX-2251BA addressable photoelectric smoke detectors in all elevator lobbies and stairwells, throughout some floors, and in some storage rooms in the penthouse. There are Mircom MIX-5251RBA addressable 135°F fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors in the electrical and janitor rooms on each floor, and in some storage rooms in the penthouse. There are Mircom MIX-5251HBA addressable 190°F fixed-temperature heat detectors in the mechanical and generator rooms. All aforementioned detectors are mounted on System Sensor B210LPA bases. There are System Sensor DNRA duct smoke detector housings equipped with Mircom MIX-2251BA addressable photoelectric heads on the supply and return ducts in the penthouse.

====Firefighter's Telephones====
There are Mircom FT-300A firefighter's telephones in the elevator lobbies on floors 2 to 15, and at each end of the penthouse.

====Modules====
There are Mircom MIX-M500MA addressable monitor modules supervising Stone Bowl's kitchen suppression system, and the sprinkler system's tamper and flow switches. There are Mircom MIX-M500MAPA addressable monitor modules installed as deficiency replacements on some circuits. There is a Mircom MIX-M500DMA addressable dual-input monitor module supervising the emergency generator's run and trouble contacts. There are Mircom MIX-M500RA addressable relay modules serving various purposes. There are Mircom MIX-M500FPA fire phone modules supervising all fire phones. There are System Sensor ISO-XA isolator modules on all SLCs.

====EOLs====
There are Mircom MP-300 end of line resistor plates on all circuits supervised by monitor modules, and all signal circuits.

====Sequence of Operation====
This system is a standard two-stage setup; when an alarm is initiated, all floors go into alert. After 5 minutes, or if a general alarm switch is activated, all floors go into alarm. In alert, the system plays the pre-announce tone twice, and plays an alert message, which loops until the timer expires or the system is silenced. In alarm, the system plays the pre-announce tone twice, then plays an alarm message, which loops until the system is silenced. The horn/strobe in Tim Hortons is coded to temporal.
