The University at Albany is a public research university with campuses in Albany, Rensselaer and Guilderland, NY. It was founded in 1844, is part of the State University of New York system, and enrolls over 17,900 students. The Uptown Campus in Albany is most known for being in weatherdan882002’s UAlbany fire alarm and fire drill videos. This page will cover the Earth Sciences building. The building was built in the mid-1960s, and the system was upgraded in 2001.
==System Specifications (2001-present)==
====FACP====
The building is protected by a Simplex 4120 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in an electrical or mechanical room. It is not networked to any of the other buildings on campus. The system runs Simplex’s MAPNET II addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

There is a Simplex 4603-9101 LCD annunciator at the entrance.
====Notification Appliances====
Most notification appliances are Wheelock AS-24MCW horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, multi-candela) installed throughout, including the individual classrooms. In the bathrooms and
areas where more visual coverage is needed, there are Wheelock RSS-24MCW remote strobes (red, wall-mount, multi-candela).

For outdoor notification, there is a Wheelock ASWP-2475-WP weatherproof horn/strobe (red, wall-mount, 185cd) outside the entrance.
