The building is protected by a Mircom FA-1000 conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located at the centre hallway exit. The system coding is temporal. This panel replaced a Mircom FA-101T.

All common areas have Mircom FHS-400-RR horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd). All dorm rooms have Mircom FS-400-RR remote strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd) paired with Mircom MH-S25WA silenceable mini-horns (white); one strobe is mounted remotely by the main exit.
