FireAlarmPedia:About

From FireAlarmPedia

Fire Alarmpedia is an encyclopedia dedicated to documenting fire alarm systems. The information provided on these pages is confirmed through direct user experiences, such as visits to the locations, research from property websites, and building permits. Details on fire alarm codings and loudness are verified by users who have heard the alarms go off, as well as their classification as single or two-stage systems.
Fire Alarmpedia was founded in 2020 as YYC Alarmpedia by three fire alarm enthusiasts from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. They recognized the lack of a dedicated "fire alarm wiki" and wanted a platform where they could easily update system upgrades and replacements without needing to create a new forum. Since then, Fire Alarmpedia has grown to feature over 1,000 pages documenting building fire alarm systems. In 2021, we changed our name to Fire Alarmpedia to better reflect our expanded focus on documenting fire alarm systems from all around the world.
