Walmart is a retail store chain. This particular location is located at 5302 Discovery Way, Leduc, AB. It was built in 2002, and underwent an two expansions, in 2004 and 2008. The fire alarm system was upgraded in 2004.

FACP

The store is protected by a Simplex 4100U addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the right entrance vestibule, and is 3 bays. The panel is also equipped with the InfoAlarm Command Center. The system runs Simplex's IDNet addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

Notification Appliances

All notification appliances are from Simplex's "TrueAlert" line of products.

Throughout the store, the notification appliances are mounted on pillars, with two horn/strobes and two remote strobes, both opposite each other.

The horn/strobes are Simplex 4906-9127 horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd), and the strobes are Simplex 4906-9101 remote strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd).

The aforementioned horn/strobes are also installed at exits, the one in the garden center was installed in 2017.

Some areas with lower ceilings have Simplex 4906-9128 horn/strobes (red, ceiling-mount, set to 30cd).

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations but one are Simplex 4099-9001 addressable single-action pull stations.

There is a Simplex 4099-9004 addressable single-action pull station by the entrance gate as a deficiency replacement.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are Simplex "TrueAlarm" 4098-9714 addressable photoelectric smoke detectors in the bakery, mounted on 4098-9792 bases.

Modules

There are Simplex 4090-9001 addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system's tamper and flow switches.

EOLs

There are Simplex 2081-9040C end-of-line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
