5700 50 Street is the address of a small commercial plaza in Beaumont, Alberta, Canada. The plaza contains Home Hardware and Dollarama. It opened in 1996 as IGA, which became a Sobeys store which closed in 2012 for the new location, and then the store was converted to the two tenants in 2013. The fire alarm system was installed during the conversion.
System Specifications (2013-present)[edit | edit source]
FACP[edit | edit source]
The building is protected by an EST iO500 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the electrical room, at the rear of the building. The system runs EST’s Signature addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.
Annunciators[edit | edit source]
There are two sets of EST RLCD-C annunciators paired with two EST RLED24 annunciators in the Home Hardware and Dollarama entrance vestibules. All annunciators are mounted in EST RA-ENC3 enclosures.
Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]
All notification appliances are Edwards “Genesis” G1-HDVM horn/strobes (white, wall-mount, no lettering, set to 15cd).
For exterior notification, there is an Edwards WG4RN-HVMC weatherproof horn/strobe (red, wall-mount, no marking, set to 60cd) outside the electrical room. It was installed as a deficiency replacement for an EST "Integrity" 757-7A-T horn/strobe (red, 15/75cd) in 2020.
Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]
Pull Stations[edit | edit source]
All pull stations are EST SIGA-270 addressable single-action pull stations.
Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]
All public areas are protected by a sprinkler system with waterflow detection. As such, no detectors are present in these areas.
Modules[edit | edit source]
There are EST SIGA-CT1 addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.
There are EST SIGA-CR addressable relays serving various purposes.
EOLs[edit | edit source]
There are Edwards EOL-P1 end of line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
