101B Village Road is the address given to a two-story building in Samson Mall, Lake Louise, Alberta. It is the only building to have a fire alarm system. This plaza was built in 1982, and has Laggan's Mountain Bakery, Lake Louise Village Grill & Bar, Canada Post, and The Viewpoint. but the fire alarm system is not original. One pull station is original.
System Specifications (1990s-present)[edit | edit source]
FACP[edit | edit source]
The building is protected by a Notifier NFS2-640C conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located in the stairwell/elevator entrance vestibule. This panel was installed in the 2010s, replacing an Edwards Custom 6500. The system coding is likely temporal.
Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]
Most notification appliances are Edwards 439D-6AWC vibrating bells (6" gong).
The stairwell/elevator entrance vestibule has an Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bell (10" gong).
The restaurant has a Notifier KMS-6-24A motor bell (6" gong) as a deficiency replacement. This bell is on a Wheelock strobe plate (model to be confirmed, 1.5cd).
For outdoor notification, there is an Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bell (10" gong).
Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]
Pull Stations[edit | edit source]
All pull stations but one are Edwards 270-SPO conventional single-action pull stations. Most are original, however there are a few from the 2000s as deficiency replacements.
There is an Edwards 270-SPOB conventional bilingual single-action pull station as a deficiency replacement. Most stations are behind break-glass covers.
Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]
There are System Sensor 1412A conventional 2-wire ionization smoke detectors throughout the building. There are also Edwards 281C fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors.
