Alberta Health Services is the governing body of health care services in the province of Alberta. This page will cover EMS Station #4, located at 16 Moncton Road Northeast, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The station opened in the late 1970s as a fire station, and was converted to an EMS station in the 1990s. The fire alarm system was fully upgraded in 2016.
System Specifications (2016-present)[edit | edit source]
FACP[edit | edit source]
The building is protected by a Notifier NFS-320C addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule. The system runs Notifier’s FlashScan addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.
Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]
All notification appliances are System Sensor “SpectrAlert Advance” P2RA horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd).
Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]
Pull Stations[edit | edit source]
All pull stations are Notifier NBG-12LX addressable dual-action pull stations.
Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]
There are Notifier FSP-851A addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the building, and a Notifier FST-851A addressable 135°F fixed-temperature heat detector in the kitchen. All detectors are mounted on System Sensor B210LPA bases.
EOLs[edit | edit source]
There are Notifier EOL-CR end of line resistor plates on all signal circuits.
