This obviously tripped the system into alarm, and so the mall was evacuated and CFD responded. The person who pulled it got away, but in October they came back and did it again. The pull station in the Centre Court was activated and the alarm sounded. This time they were caught and charged. Fire Alarmpedia is not responsible for this, and strictly condemns the user and their actions. NEVER pull a fire alarm unless there is a real fire emergency. | |||

CF Chinook Centre is a large shopping mall located at 6455 Macleod Trail, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is the largest mall in the City of Calgary, and the second largest in Alberta. The mall houses three anchor stores, along with 250 other shops and services. The mall originally opened in 1960, and was merged with the neighboring Southridge Mall in 1973. The mall was expanded in 1980, 2000 and 2010. The mall was also extensively renovated in 2000. The fire alarm system was mostly installed in 2000, while the north expansion was installed in 2010.

The system runs EST’s Signature addressable protocol, and is configured for two-stage operation. The system is equipped with voice evacuation, with custom messages for both the alert and evacuation signals. The alert signal coding is a 20BPM vibrating bell tone, followed by a 120BPM (march time) bell tone for the evacuation signal.
