The station primarily serves the neighborhoods of Dalhousie and Varsity Estates, and is located adjacent to the Dalhousie Station Shopping Centre. The station also has bus connections to several neighborhoods. The station opened in 2003, and served as the northern terminus for the red line until the opening of Crowfoot Station in 2009. The station is protected by a Notifier AFP-200 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in an electrical room. The system runs Notifier’s CLIP addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.
Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]
All notification appliances but one are System Sensor “SpectrAlert” P2415A horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, 15cd).
There is a System Sensor "L-Series" P2RLA horn/strobe (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd/electromechanical) at the entrance as a deficiency replacement.
