Leduc Recreation Centre is a recreation centre located at 4330 Black Gold Drive, in Leduc, Alberta, Canada. It originally opened as the Black Gold Centre in 1978, and originally housed an arena and a 6-lane pool. The building was first expanded in 2004, which added the leisure centre. A major expansion was completed in 2009, which added a twin ice rink, a two-sheet field house, a fitness centre, and numerous other amenities. The fire alarm systems are original to the 2004 and 2009 expansions. Both systems are wired together as addressable points, and trip each other in alarm.

The building is protected by a Notifier AFP-200 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located at the Sobeys Arena entrance. The system runs Notifier's CLIP addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

All notification appliances but one are System Sensor "SpectrAlert" P2415A horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, 15cd).

There is a System Sensor "SpectrAlert Advance" P2RA horn/strobe (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd) in the pool area as a deficiency replacement.

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

Most pull stations are Notifier MPS-950B conventional single-action pull stations.

The pool area has a Mircom MS-401 conventional single-action pull station next to the female changeroom, and a Notifier NBG-12LX addressable dual-action pull station at the emergency exit, both as deficiency replacements.

All conventional stations are wired to Notifier FMM-101A addressable monitor modules, located directly behind each station.

There are Notifier FMM-1A addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system's flow and tamper switches.
