Whiskyjack Lodge and Ten Peaks Lodge are the daylodges located at the base of Lake Louise Ski Resort in Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada. Whiskyjack Lodge opened in the 1960s, and Ten Peaks Lodge opened in 1997. The fire alarm system is original in both buildings, and are monitored by the same panel.

System Specifications[edit | edit source]

FACP[edit | edit source]

The buildings are protected by an EST 6632 conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located in the hallway to the lockers at Whiskyjack Lodge. It replaced an Edwards 6500 in 1997, as it did not have enough capacity for the Ten Peaks Lodge. The system coding is continuous; the horn/strobes in Ten Peaks are self-coded.

Annunciators[edit | edit source]

There is an EST 6616-C801 LED annunciator in the entrance vestibule of Ten Peaks Lodge.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

Whiskyjack Lodge[edit | edit source]

Most notification appliances are Edwards “Durabel” 6100-D vibrating bells (6” gong). The restaurant and locker areas have Edwards 439D-6AWC vibrating bells (6” gong).

Ten Peaks Lodge[edit | edit source]

All notification appliances are EST “Integrity” 757-5A-T horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, 15cd).

Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

All pull stations are Edwards 270-SPO conventional single-action pull stations. They are mostly original in both buildings; Whiskyjack has some 90s variants as deficiency replacements.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There are System Sensor C2W-BA conventional 2-wire photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the buildings.

EOLs[edit | edit source]

There are Edwards EOL-P1 end-of-line resistor plates on all circuits.
