The Bearspaw Lifestyle Centre is a community centre located at 253220 Bearspaw Road, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The building opened in 1983 and was expanded in 2003. The fire alarm system was upgraded in 2003.

System Specifications

FACP

The building is protected by a Simplex 4010 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located at an entrance. The system runs Simplex’s IDNet addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

Notification Appliances

All notification appliances except two are Simplex 2901-9723 motor bells (6” gong) on Wheelock RSSP-24MCW strobe plates.

Two bells have been replaced, these were deficiency replacements:

Edwards 439D-6AWC vibrating bell (6” gong) in banquet hall
Mircom BL-6B motor bell (6” gong) in a hallway.

Both strobe plates remain intact.

Pull Stations

All pull stations are Simplex 4099-9001 addressable single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are Simplex “TrueAlarm” 4098-9714 addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the building.

There are Simplex 4098-9733 addressable 135°F fixed-temperature heat detectors in some areas.

All detectors are mounted on 4098-9792 bases.

EOLs

There are Simplex 2081-9040C end of line resistor plates on all signal circuits.
