Scenic Bow Place is a group home complex owned by Alberta Health Services. This page will cover Group Home 22, located at #122, 100 Scenic Bow Place NW, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The building was built in 1987, and the fire alarm system is partially original; all field devices were replaced in the 2010s.
System Specifications[edit | edit source]
FACP[edit | edit source]
The building is protected by a Simplex 4001 conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main office. The system coding is continuous.
Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]
There are two notification appliances in the building.
There is a Mircom BL-6B motor bell (6” gong) in the main entrance area, and a Simplex 2901-9723 motor bell (6” gong) in the bedroom area.
Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]
Pull Stations[edit | edit source]
All pull stations are Mircom MS-401 conventional single-action pull stations.
Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]
There are System Sensor C2W-BA conventional photoelectric smoke detectors throughout all living areas.
There are System Sensor 5601A conventional 135-degree fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors in all non-living areas.
There are FDD CR-135 conventional 135-degree fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors in the basement storage rooms.
There are System Sensor 5603A conventional fixed-temperature heat detectors in the kitchen and furnace room.
There is a Potter CR-135W conventional 135-degree fixed-temperature/rate-of-rise heat detector in the main lobby area.
EOLs[edit | edit source]
There are Simplex 2081-9040C end-of-line resistor plates on all circuits.
