The fire alarm panel is a HUGE two-stage Edwards 6500 fire alarm system. There are two panels, one is just used for additional zones. They are somewhere around the lobby. The system does short blasts every few seconds in first stage, and continuous in general alarm as said by a guest directory in the "If You Hear An Alarm" section of a safety page. It says "This hotel is protected by a two-stage fire alarm system. If you hear a loud, continuous ringing from alarm
bells, you must evacuate the building."

All notification appliances are from System Sensor's "SpectrAlert Advance" line of products. All common area notification appliances are System Sensor P2RA horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd). The guest rooms contain System Sensor MHW mini horns (white).

The main notification appliances are the original Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bells from 1987. Most of them are behind metal grills, which is seen in the lobby and hotel room floors. Some bells, like in the parkade do not have metal grills. A 439D-10AWC broke down in the 2000s on the 3rd floor and was replaced by a Notifier KMS-6-24A motor bell, again, behind a grill. Near the panel itself, there is an Edwards 439D-10AWC and a possibly Mircom or Amseco 6" motor bell right next to it. It is unknown if one of them is in use or both ring at the same time. In the late 2010s, there have been System Sensor "SpectrAlert Advance" MHW (white) mini-horns installed in the rooms.
There are Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bells (10" gong) left over in the weight room and pool area, however it is unknown how that portion works.

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by a Notifier NFS2-640C addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in a room behind the front desk. The panel is fitted with a Notifier NCA-2 display. The system runs Notifier's FlashScan addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

All notification appliances are from System Sensor's "SpectrAlert Advance" line of products. All common area notification appliances are System Sensor P2RA horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd). The guest rooms contain System Sensor MHW mini horns (white).

There are Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bells (10" gong) left over in the weight room and pool area, however it is unknown how that portion works.

Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

All pull stations are Notifier NBG-12LX addressable dual-action pull stations. However, the Edwards 275-C111 conventional pull stations still exist in the pool area and weight room, and it is unknown if these are still in use.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There are Notifier FSP-851A addressable photoelectric smoke detectors on B210LPA bases throughout the hotel.

Modules[edit | edit source]

There are likely Notifier FMM-1A monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system's tamper and flow switches.

EOLs[edit | edit source]

There are Notifier EOL-CR end of line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
