'''Northland Village Mall''' was a mall located at 5111 Northland Drive NW, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The mall opened in 1971, and was demolished in 2022. The fire alarm system was installed in 2005.

The building was protected by a Siemens MXL addressable fire alarm system. The panel was located near the former west entrance. The system ran Siemens’ FirePrint addressable protocol, and was configured for two-stage operation. Alert signal coding was 20BPM, followed by temporal as alarm signal. General alarm timer length was 5 minutes.

'''Northland Village''' is a two-floor shopping mall in northwest Calgary. It is located at the intersection of Shaganappi Trail NW and Crowchild Trail NW. It was built in 1979, renovated in 2003, but has had the current fire alarm system setup since 2005 after a renovation.
Some areas had Siemens MTH-MC-R-B multi-tone horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, set to continuous horn/15cd) as deficiency replacements.

== System Specifications ==
The Walmart formerly had Siemens U-MMT-S17-C horn/strobes (red, ceiling-mount, 15cd) installed on the walls, which were replaced when an independent system was installed. The same horn/strobes could be found in the hallways, some with wall orientation "FIRE" stickers.

==== FACP ====
The Best Buy formerly had Siemens U-MMT-MCS-W-B horn/strobes (white, wall-mount), which were replaced when an independent system was installed.

The mall has Siemens MXL addressable fire alarm panels installed in 2005. They likely replaced older Cerberus Pyrotronics MXL panels from 2003. So far, one panel has been found at the entrance near Cora.
Some areas had Siemens ZH-MC-R horn/strobes (red, wall-mount). All horns were set to continuous horn.

==== Notification Appliances ====
There was a Siemens MBDC-6C motor bell (6" gong) in an entrance vestibule, however the purpose was unknown.
===Initiating Devices===
====Pull Stations====
All pull stations were Cerberus/Siemens MSI-30B addressable two-stage single-action pull stations. Some were branded Cerberus, while others were branded Siemens.
====Automatic Detection Devices====
There were Siemens FP-11 addressable multisensor smoke/heat detectors throughout the building. There was also sprinkler system with waterflow detection.
===== Modules =====
There were Siemens TRI-D addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system's tamper and flow switches.

The notification appliances are mainly Siemens U-MMT-S17 multi-tone horn/strobes installed in 1998 and 2003. Some are ceiling models and most in the hallways have fake wall orientation on the original "FIRE". The Walmart has Cerberus branded variants of the ceiling U-MMT-S17. Replacement notification appliances in the hallways and a few stores include Siemens U-MMT-MCS-B multi-tone horn/strobes installed in 2005, Siemens MT-MC-R-B (rebranded Wheelock MT-24MCW) multi-tone horn/strobes, and a few Siemens ZH-MC-R (rebranded Wheelock ZNS-24MCW) horn/strobes. The Best Buy has Siemens U-MMT-MCS-W-B white multi-tone horn/strobes installed in 2005, and the Walmart has one Edwards 882-2B horn at the back. It is unknown if it is in use still, as there is a Siemens U-MMT-S17 about 12 feet from it.
There were Siemens TRI-R addressable relay modules serving various purposes.

=== Initiating Devices ===
==== EOLs ====

There were Siemens EL-300C end of line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
==== Pull Stations ====

The pull stations are mainly Siemens HMS-2S two-stage pull stations from 2005, but the Walmart has Cerberus MSI-30B two-stage pull stations installed in 1998. Some Cerberus pull stations can be found as leftover pull stations before the current MXL.

==== Automatic Detection Devices ====

The smoke detectors are Siemens FirePrint FP-11 multi-sensor addressable smoke and heat detectors, installed in 2005 when the MXL was.
