The QuickStart was released about 2001. No changes were made until about 2011 when they changed the logo to the GE EST logo. In 2013, they used the current EST logo until its discontinuation around 2020.

The EST QuickStart is a line of fire alarm control panels made by EST. They had three models over the years they made them. The series was introduced in the early 2000s and was discontinued in 2020. The panels are common in Calgary, but the one that is the most common is the QS1.

Models[edit | edit source]

  • QuickStart QS1 - an addressable control panel with a capacity for up to 250 points. This is the most common QuickStart panel in Calgary.
  • QuickStart QSC - a conventional control panel with a capacity for up to 48 Class B IDCs or a combination of 40 Class A & B IDCs.
  • QuickStart QS4 - an addressable and conventional control panel with a capacity for up to 1000 addressable points, or 48 Class B IDCs, or 40 Class A and B IDCs combined.

History of the QuickStart[edit | edit source]

The QuickStart was released about 2001. No changes were made until about 2011 when they changed the logo to the GE EST logo. In 2013, they used the current EST logo until its discontinuation around 2020.
