'''Alberta Children's Hospital''' is a 4 story hospital near the University of Calgary and the neighborhood of Varsity in NW Calgary. It is the largest children's hospital in the prairie provinces. It was built in 2006, and the system is original. There are some differences from the parkade and the main hospital for some reason. User YYCsFireAlarmNimrod has been able to reset the system!

[[File:ACH.png|thumb|Aerial View of the Hospital]] The '''Alberta Children’s Hospital''' is a large hospital located at 28 Oki Drive Northwest, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is the largest childrens' hospital in the prairie provinces. The hospital specializes in children’s health, and only accepts patients between the ages of 0 and 18. The hospital was formerly located off of Richmond Road SW, before moving to the current building, which opened in 2006. Only the fire alarm system of the current building is known. The fire alarm system is original.
The parkade and main building have separate systems, but are networked. The parkade was also expanded in 2019.
==System Specifications (Main Building) (2006-present)==
====FACP====
The building is protected by an Edwards EST3 addressable fire alarm system. The system is a 24-panel network; the main node is located in the CACF room on the main floor. The system runs EST’s Signature addressable protocol, and is configured for two-stage operation. The system is equipped with voice evacuation, and the alert signal is a 20BPM chime tone, followed by the evacuation signal, a march time (120BPM) chime tone.
=====FACP Accessories=====
There is an Edwards “FireWorks” graphic computer in the CACF room.
=====Annunciators=====
There are Edwards EST3-LCDANN annunciators in every nurse’s station, at the emergency station, and at one entrance.
====Notification Appliances====
All common area audible notification appliances are EST 965-1A-8RW remote speakers (white, ceiling-mount, 70V, 8”). These are also installed in some other areas.

There are Edwards 202-5A-TW remote strobes (white, wall-mount, 15cd) next to every second speaker in common areas. Each strobe has an LKC-1 ceiling-oriented lens cover.

==== FACP ====
The Ibbotson Gymnasium has EST "Genesis" G4-S7VM speaker/strobes (white, wall-mount, no marking, set to 15cd).

The hospital is protected by an EST3 fire alarm system. The panels were installed in 2006, so they are original to the hospital. There are several panels located throughout, they can be seen in the hallway to the parkade, in a security room, and some are hidden. Annunciators are seen throughout, even in the offices for units. The system is two-stage, and although not voice evac, a security guard will come on and say a code red, for example "Code red, level 0, clinical genetics" or "code red, drill, lower level kitchen". The system does the EST3/Edwards 8500 chime every 3 seconds for first stage, and second stage is probably a chime in march time. All strobes are synchronized.
The stairwells have EST “Genesis” G4-S7 speakers (white, wall-mount, no marking, 70V).
===Initiating Devices===
====Pull Stations====
All pull stations are EST SIGA-270P addressable two-stage single-action pull stations.
====Automatic Detection Devices====
There are EST SIGA-PS addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the building.

==== Notification Appliances ====
Some areas have EST SIGA-HRS addressable fixed/rate-of-rise heat detectors.
The main hospital uses EST Integrity 965-1A-8RW round ceiling speakers throughout, and EST Integrity 202-5A-TW strobes with LKC-1 "ceiling FIRE orientation" beside them sometimes.  They are sometimes seen in a pattern like strobe, no strobe, strobe, no strobe etc, however, on the third floor by the elevators, the speaker and strobe are 7 feet apart. It is unknown why they didn't install just speaker/strobes. Some areas, like the Calgary Laboratory Services, have just speakers and no strobes. The stairwells in the main hospital wing have EST Genesis G4-S7 (white, wall, no FIRE) speakers on the ceilings. The parkade hallways have EST Integrity 965-5A-8RW round ceiling mounted 8" speaker strobes, and the parkade itself has EST 965-3A-8SW square speaker/strobes on backboxes. The stairwells at the parkade have EST Genesis G4R-S7 (red, wall, no FIRE) and G4RF-S7 (red, wall, FIRE) speakers. The speakers are tapped pretty soft, likely due to it being a hospital and not wanting to startle workers or patients.

=== Initiating Devices ===
All detectors are mounted on EST SIGA-SB bases. There is also a sprinkler system with waterflow protection.
==== Modules ====
There are EST SIGA-CT1 addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system's tamper and flow switches.

==== Pull Stations ====
There are EST SIGA-CR addressable relays serving various purposes.
The main hospital wing has EST SIGA-270P two-stage pull-stations. Most are original from 2006, but a few are EST/GE. The parkade hallways and parkade have EST SIGA-270 single stage pull-stations for some unknown reason. Just like the SIGA-270Ps, most are original but some are newer. There's one SIGA-270 that says "Out of Order". Most likely two pull stations have to be activated to go into 2nd stage.
==== EOLs ====
There are Edwards EOL-P1 end-of-line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
