Tao of Peace is a martial arts studio located at 6331 Bowness Rd NW in Calgary. It was built in 1977, and the fire alarm system was upgraded in 2000.

FACP[edit | edit source]

The studio is protected by a Mircom Series FA-1000 conventional fire alarm system. The panel is in the front entrance.. It is unknown why they went for such a large panel like a Mircom FA-1000. The system coding is likely continuous.

The Series FA-1000 was installed in 2011, and replaced a Notifier SFP-400B.

There are three notification appliances in the whole building.

Wheelock MB-G6-24 motor bell (6" gong) rebranded by Fire-Lite/Notifier on a Wheelock RSSP-2415W (red, multi-candela) strobe plate by entrance
Wheelock MB-G10-24 motor bell (10" gong) on a Wheelock RSSP-24MCW (multi-candela) strobe plate near exit
Wheelock MB-G6-24 motor bell (6" gong), also on an RSSP-24MCW strobe plate

Simplex MS-301C conventional pull station by the entrance
Notifier NFM-950B by the right exit
Mircom MS-401 at the far left exit.

There are Notifier EOL-CR end-of-line resistor plates on all circuits.
