Shawnessy Towne Centre is a shopping plaza located near Macleod Trail and 162nd Ave SE, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This page will cover Building 100, located at 350R Shawville Blvd SE. The tenants are Best Buy, Sportchek, Michaels, and Staples. The plaza was built in 1999, and the fire alarm system is partially original.

The plaza is protected by a Mircom FA-1000 conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located in an electrical room at the rear of the building. The system coding is continuous.

The FA-1000 replaced an EST ESA2000 in the mid 2010s.

All notification appliances are General Signal MB6-24 motor bells (6" gong) mounted on Edwards 403-5A-R strobe plates (15cd).

Michaels

Most notification appliances are General Signal MB6-24 motor bells (6" gong) mounted on Edwards 403-5A-R strobe plates (15cd).

Some areas have Mircom BL-6A motor bells (6" gong) mounted on Mircom RSB24-153075 strobe plates (15cd) installed as deficiency replacements.

Staples

Currently unknown.

Outdoor Notification

There are System Sensor "SpectrAlert Advance" P2RKA weatherproof horn/strobes (red, wall-mount) and System Sensor SRKA weatherproof remote strobes (red, wall-mount) outside each unit at the rear of the building.

These are mounted with a horn/strobe and a remote strobe mounted next to each other.

All pull stations except for those in Sport Chek are Edwards 270-SPO conventional single-action pull stations.

Sport Chek has Mirtone 73353 conventional single-action pull stations.
