It is located on the campus of the University of Calgary, and has a speed skating track, along with 2 enclosed hockey surfaces. The facility is protected by a Simplex 4100U fire alarm control panel.  It was installed in the early 2000s, and likely replaced a Simplex 2120, judging by the neighboring building's panel being a 2120.  It has voice evac capabilities, and likely does slow whoop and the default male message.
The building is protected by a Simplex 4100ES conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located next in the main lobby, next to the customer service desk. The evacuation signal is a slow whoop tone, followed by the default Simplex male message. The 4100ES replaced a 4100U in 2019, which in turn replaced the original 2120 in 2007. <br> The system is part of a campus-wide network.

Did you know that some buildings use fire alarm signals as door alarms?  For example, the Olympic Oval uses Simplex 2901-9834 mechanical horns.
