The '''Olympic Oval''' is a multipurpose ice arena best known for speed skating. It gets its name from its original purpose, which was to host the 1988 Winter Olympics. It is located on the campus of the University of Calgary, and has a speed skating track, along with 2 enclosed hockey surfaces. The facility is protected by a Simplex 4100U addressable fire alarm control panel.  It was installed in around 2001-2010, and likely replaced a Simplex 2120, judging by the neighboring building's fire panel being a 2120.  It has voice evac capabilities, and likely does slow whoop and the default male message. Although the system is addressable, the system is not really set up in an addressable manner.

The second level has Wheelock RSS-24MCW (red, wall) remote strobes for visual coverage as well as the Simplex speakers, installed when the 4100U was. <br> Fun Fact: Did you know that some buildings use fire alarm signals as door alarms?  For example, the Olympic Oval uses Simplex 2901-9834 mechanical horns, original to the building.
