Super 8 is a chain of budget hotels owned by Wyndham Group. They are headquartered in Parsippany, New Jersey. This particular hotel is located at 8004 Sparrow Crescent in Leduc, Alberta. It primarily serves the Edmonton International Airport. The hotel was built in 1999, and renovated in 2013. The fire alarm system is mostly original.

System Specifications (1999-present)[edit | edit source]

FACP[edit | edit source]

The hotel is protected by a Mircom FX-2000 conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located near the main entrance, and is not original. The system has two DM-1008A eight-zone conventional modules in it, as the devices on the system are conventional. The system coding is most likely temporal.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

All notification appliances are Notifier KMS-10-24VDC/P motor bells (10” gong) on Wheelock RSSP-2415W strobe plates (red, 15cd). There are no alarms in the guest rooms.

Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

All pull stations are Notifier MPS-950B conventional single-action “tab” pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There are System Sensor 1451A conventional 2-wire ionization smoke detectors throughout the hotel.

EOLs[edit | edit source]

There are Notifier EOL-CR end-of-line resistor plates on all circuits.
