Peter Pond Mall is the only indoor shopping mall in the city of Fort McMurray, Alberta. It is located at 9713 Hardin St, Fort McMurray, Alberta. The mall houses 65 stores, including Sport Chek and Dollarama. The mall also has a food court, and several casual-dining restaurants. The mall opened in 1978, and received a system upgrade in the early 2010s.

System Specifications (2010s-present)[edit | edit source]

FACP[edit | edit source]

The mall is protected by a Mircom FX-2000 addressable fire alarm system. The panel location is unknown, but has been confirmed by an annunciator. The system runs Mircom’s CLIP addressable protocol, and may be two-stage.

Annunciators[edit | edit source]

There is a Mircom BB-1002 annunciator enclosure at one entrance. The enclosure contains two annunciator modules; one is a Mircom RAX-LCD annunciator, and the other is a Mircom RAX-1048TZDS 48-LED annunciator.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

All notification appliances are Mircom “Select-A-Horn/Strobe” FHS-340R horn/strobes (red, wall-mount).

Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

All pull stations are Mircom MS-400AD single-action addressable pull stations. If the system is single-stage, the model is MS-401AD; if the system is two-stage, the model is MS-402AD.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

None noticed, waterflow is present.

Modules[edit | edit source]

There are Mircom MIX-M500MA addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system's tamper and flow switches.

EOLs[edit | edit source]

There are Mircom MP-300 end of line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
