Wishart Elementary School is an elementary school located at 3310 Wishart Road, in Colwood, British Columbia, Canada. The school opened in 1972, and was renovated and expanded in 1991. The fire alarm system is not original; most of it was installed during the expansion.
System Specifications (2020-present)[edit | edit source]
FACP[edit | edit source]
The building is protected by a Notifier NFS-320C hybrid-addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main electrical room. The main building has a conventionl setup, while the portables are addressable. The system runs Notifier’s FlashScan addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.
Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]
Main Building[edit | edit source]
Most notification appliances are Simplex 2901-9722 motor bells (10” gong).
Some areas have Notifier KMS-10-24A motor bells (10” gong) as deficiency replacements.
There is an Edwards 439D-6AWC vibrating bell (6” gong) mounted on an Edwards 403-5A-R strobe plate (15cd) by the main office.
Portables[edit | edit source]
All notification appliances are System Sensor “L-Series” P2RLA horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, bilingual lettering, set to 15cd).
Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]
Pull Stations[edit | edit source]
Most pull stations are Notifier NBG-12L conventional dual-action pull stations.
Some areas have FCI-rebranded N-MPS-SC conventional single-action pull stations.
The portables have Notifier NBG-12LX addressable dual-action pull stations.
Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]
Main Building[edit | edit source]
There are Simplex 2098-9508 conventional ionization smoke detectors throughout the building. Some areas have System Sensor “i3” C2W-BA conventional photoelectric smoke detectors as deficiency replacements. The electrical rooms have Simplex 4098-9703 conventional duct detectors with 4098-9701 photoelectric smoke detector heads.
Portables[edit | edit source]
There are Notifier FSP-851A addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the portables, mounted on System Sensor B210LPA bases. There are also FDD CR-135 conventional 135 Fixed/Rate-of-Rise heat detectors throughout the portables, wired to FMM-101A addressable modules.
EOLs[edit | edit source]
There are Notifier EOL-CR and Simplex 2081-9019C end-of-line resistor plates on all conventional and signal circuits.
