Cineplex is Canada’s largest movie theatre chain. Their theatres typically include amenities such as massage chairs or food service. This particular theatre is located at 91 Crowfoot Terrace Northwest, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The theatre opened in 1997, and the fire alarm system is original.

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by a Notifier AFP-400 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main exit vestibule. The system runs Notifier’s CLIP addressable protocol, and the system coding is continuous.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

The lobby and auditoriums have System Sensor “Multi-Alert” MA/SS-24A sounder/strobes (red, wall-mount).

The hallways have System Sensor MASS24LOCA sounder/strobes (red, ceiling-mount). The tone settings are unknown at this time.

There is a System Sensor "L-Series" P4RLA horn/strobe in the party room, installed in 2021.

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

All pull stations are Notifier NFM-950B conventional single-action pull stations. Each station is wired to a Notifier MMX-101A addressable monitor module. The modules are located directly behind each station.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There are Notifier CPX-551A addressable ionization smoke detectors throughout the building, mounted on Notifier BX501 bases.

There are Notifier MMX-1A addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system's tamper and flow switches.

There are Notifier CMX-2A addressable relay modules serving various purposes.

EOLs[edit | edit source]

There are Notifier EOL-CR end of line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
