This mall has a very similar design to the Lewisporte Mall, and the fire alarm system is fairly similar too. It contains several anchor stores including Sport Chek and Canadian Tire. The mall opened in the 1980s, and the fire alarm system is original with the exception of the main FACP and some pull stations. | '''Gander Mall''' is a shopping mall located at 132 Bennett Drive, in Gander, Newfoundland, Canada. System Specifications[edit | edit source]
FACP[edit | edit source]
The building is protected by an EST QuickStart QS4 conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located at one of the entrances. This panel likely replaced a Pyrotronics System 3. The system coding is likely temporal.
Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]
All notification appliances are Faraday 3560 vibrating bells (10” gong).
Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]
Pull Stations[edit | edit source]
Most pull stations are Pyrotronics/Pyr-A-Larm MS-51B conventional single-action pull stations. Some areas have Edwards 270-SPO conventional single-action pull stations as deficiency replacements.
Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]
None noticed.
