The Rec Room (Calgary)

The Rec Room is a chain of entertainment restaurants owned by Cineplex. They have lots of arcade games, pool tables, and a climbing wall! This page will cover the Calgary location, located in Deerfoot City, NE Calgary. The 2-story entertainment complex was built in 2017, and the fire alarm system is original.

System Specifications

FACP

The fire alarm panel is a two-stage voice-evac EST3. It was installed in 2017 when the place was built. The annunciator is at the entrance, however the real panel is not visible.

Annunciators

There is an EST 3-6ANN annunciator at the entrance, and the annunciator has a 3-REMICA microphone on it.

Notification Appliances

The main notification appliances are EST "Genesis" G4R-S7VM (red, wall, no FIRE) speaker/strobes, and EST "Genesis" G4-S7 (white, wall, no FIRE) speakers. The second floor has the two mentioned speaker/strobes and speakers in the open ceiling area, but the drop ceiling area has EST "Genesis" GC-S7 (white, ceiling, no FIRE) speakers and GC-S7VM (white, ceiling, no FIRE) speaker/strobes. Outside, on the patio, there are System Sensor "SpectrAlert Advance" SPCWK (white, ceiling) weatherproof speakers with EST "Integrity" CS405-8A-T weatherproof remote strobes with LKC-1 lenses right next to them.

The pull stations are EST SIGA-270P addressable, two stage pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are EST SIGA2-PS intelligent photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the building.
