No Frills is a Canadian chain of discount supermarkets. They have over 200 stores in 9 provinces, and are owned by Loblaws. This particular store is located at 1050 Yankee Valley Crossing in Airdrie, Alberta, and was likely built in 2000 as Extra Foods, and became No Frills in 2009. The fire alarm system was upgraded in 2022.

System Specifications[edit | edit source]

FACP[edit | edit source]

The store is protected by an Edwards iO1000 conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule. The system runs Edwards' Signature addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

All notification appliances are Edwards "Genesis" G1AVRF horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, FIRE marking, set to 15cd).

Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

All pull stations are EST SIGA-270 addressable single-action pull stations, leftover from the original system.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

None noticed. There is a sprinkler system.

Modules[edit | edit source]

There are EST SIGA-WTM addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system's tamper and flow switches.

EOLs[edit | edit source]

There are Edwards EOL-P1 end-of-line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
