'Sobeys' is a chain of grocery stores across Canada. It was founded in 1939 in Pictou, Nova Scotia. This particular store is located in the Millrise neighborhood of Southwest Calgary. It was built in 2005, and has the original system.

The store is protected by a Mircom FX-2000 addressable fire alarm panel. It is located in the main entrance, and commonly blocked by carts (code violation). When in alarm, the panel is set on continuous, but the horns are self-coded to code 3.
