The Windtower Lodge & Suites is a 4-story 3 star hotel in Canmore, AB. The hotel was built in 2002, and has its original fire alarm system. The hotel's fire alarm system rarely ever goes off for false alarms according to reviews.

System Specifications

FACP

The hotel is protected by an EST2 addressable fire alarm system. A remote annunciator is at the front entrance, but the panel itself is not visible, it's possible it could be in an electrical room. The system runs EST's Signature-series addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

Annunciators

There is an EST 2-LSRA-C remote annunciator in the main entrance.

Notification Appliances

The main notification appliances are EST 757H-15PS "PowerSaver Integrity" horn/strobes. The rooms have EST 683-1C silenceable mini-horns and EST "Genesis" G1-V15 (white, wall, no FIRE, 1st gen) remote strobes. All of these horn/strobes are original from 2002. One room has an EST "Integrity" 202-15PSW remote strobe instead of a Genesis strobe. Recently, an EST mini horn/strobe combo has been replaced with a System Sensor "SpectrAlert Advance" MHWZA silenceable mini-horn and a System Sensor "SpectrAlert Advance" SW remote strobe.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All of the pull stations are EST SIGA-270 addressable pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

The smoke detectors are EST SIGA-PS addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the building.
