NOTE: This page is being heavily edited due to a panel change in this fire alarm system. It is also updated every time he gets a new fire alarm device.

YYCsFireAlarmNimrod's Basement (name may be subject to change) is a basement in Calgary, built in 2003. It has a mini fire alarm system owned and serviced by User:YYCsFireAlarmNimrod.

System Specifications

Note: YYCsFireAlarmNimrod frequently modifies the fire alarm system, hence the "can range from" and "usually consist" parts. He is currently receiving about 30 new parts, which will be used on the system. Although he frequently modifies it, it is always powered up. He can pull the alarm on it any time he wants to without being fined as it is a controlled environment. NEVER pull a fire alarm unless there is actually a fire emergency.

FACP

The current FACP in this basement is a Notifier AFP-200C addressable fire alarm panel. It was made in 2003, and was previously in use at 40 Sunpark Plaza SE. The panel was removed due to NAC troubles, but the culprit was found to have been bent prongs on the horn/strobe terminals. This panel is in immaculate condition, and is fully functional, with no troubles or any other issues. When in alarm, the system does march time.

Notification Appliances

The notification appliances are currently a Simplex 2901-9720 motor bell (6"), along with the following devices being wired as strobes, with all horn/strobes having the horn disconnected: Gentex "Commander 3" GEC3-24WR, EST "Integrity" 757-5A-T (15cd), EST "Genesis LED" G1-AVRF, System Sensor "SpectrAlert Advance" SRA (red, wall mount), EST "Integrity" 202-5A-T (red, 15cd), EST "Integrity" 757-7A-T (red, 15/75cd), and Edwards 892-2B.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

The current pull stations vary, but these are accurate as of 2/28/2022. The bottom left of the board has a Notifier N-MPS-SA addressable single-action pull station. Right above the N-MPS-SA is a Notifier N-MPS-2A addressable two-stage pull station, mounted on a Simplex backbox. The two-stage switch on this pull station is wired to trip the "disco lights", which are unsynchronized strobes that serve as party lights. This pull station is also equipped with a Notifier MPS-LP dual-action conversion kit. Next to the N-MPS-2A is a Pyr-A-Larm MS-51 bilingual conventional single-action pull station. This pull station is wired into a Notifier FMM-101A addressable module from the mid 2000s. Next to the MS-51 is a Notifier LNG-1R conventional dual-action pull station. This pull station is wired into a Notifier MMX-101A addressable module, which will likely be upgraded to an FMM-101A if the panel is replaced. Below the LNG-1R is a Siemens MS-53C two-stage single-action pull station. Only the pull station is hooked up; the GA switch is not in use. This pull station is wired into a Notifier FMM-1A addressable module, which was chosen in favor of an FMM-101A due to a lack of wire length, and only having 4" backboxes at the time of installation.

Automatic Detection Devices

There is currently only one detector on this system. It is a Notifier FSL-751A VIEW (Very Intelligent Early Warning) laser smoke detector. It was removed from the Enmax headquarters in Calgary. Bonus Info: The JCI tech known as Vic said to Yycsfirealarmnimrod that this detector "belonged to the garbage can". Naturally, Yycsfirealarmnimrod put the detector in his backpack before anyone noticed.
