Days Inn is a chain of budget hotels owned by Wyndham Group. They are headquartered in Parsippany, New Jersey. This particular hotel is located in Leduc, Alberta, and primarily serves the Edmonton International Airport. It was built in 2008, and renovated in 2017. The fire alarm system survived the renovations and is original.

System Specifications

FACP

The hotel is protected by a Mircom FX-2000 addressable fire alarm system. The panel location is unknown, and is unconfirmed, but the size and age of the building suggest it is an FX-2000. The system runs Mircom’s CLIP addressable protocol, and does code 3 in alarm.

Notification Appliances

All notification appliances are from Mircom’s “Select-A-Horn/Strobe” line of products. Most areas have Mircom FHS-240R horn/strobes (red, wall-mount). The guest rooms have Mircom FHS-240W horn/strobes (white, wall-mount).

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are Mircom MS-401AD CLIP addressable single-action “tab” pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are Mircom MIX-2251B CLIP addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the hotel.
