Days Inn is a chain of budget hotels owned by Wyndham. They are headquartered in Parsippany, New Jersey. This particular hotel is located in Calgary, Alberta. It was built in 1978, and the fire alarm system is not original.
System Specifications
FACP
The hotel is protected by a Mircom FX-2000 addressable fire alarm system. The panel location is unknown, but has been confirmed by an annunciator. The system runs Mircom’s CLIP addressable protocol, and does code 3 in alarm.
Annunciators
There is a Mircom BB-10002 2-bay annunciator enclosure near the front desk. It houses two annunciator modules. One is an RAX-LCD LCD annunciator, the other is an RAX-1048TZDS 48-LED annunciator.
Notification Appliances
All notification appliances are from Mircom’s “Select-A-Horn/Strobe” line of products. Most areas of the hotel have Mircom FHS-240R horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, 15cd). In the ballroom, an FHS-240R stopped working, and was replaced with a Mircom FHS-340R horn/strobe (red, wall-mount, set to 15cd). There are no alarms in the rooms.
Initiating Devices
Pull Stations
The pull stations are likely Mircom MS-401AD CLIP addressable single-action pull stations.
Automatic Detection Devices
There are Mircom MIX-2251B CLIP addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the hotel.
