April 2017 - smoke detector near unit 324 activated due to tenant burning toast. The system worked like it was supposed to, but many residents did not evacuate for some reason, possibly taken as a test. However, that was not a good idea. |

System Specifications
FACP
The fire alarm control panel is a Mircom FX-2000, original to the complex from 2006. The panel is located in the front entrance. When in alarm condition, the panel makes all horns (FHS-240R and MH-S25WA) do code-3, with all strobes synchronized. The system runs Mircom's CLIP addressable protocol.
Notification Appliances
The main notification appliances are Mircom FHS-240R horn/strobes in the hallways and lobby, original from 2006. The units have Mircom MH-S25WA silenceable mini horns, one per bedroom. The horns are loud enough to be heard throughout the units. The FHS-240R horn/strobes are set on high volume, electromechanical horn. In one of the units, a Mircom mini-horn in a bedroom broke down, and was replaced with a System Sensor "SpectrAlert Advance" MHWZA (white, silenceable) mini-horn.
Initiating Devices
Pull Stations
All of the pull stations are original from 2006. They are Mircom MS-401AD CLIP addressable pull stations.
