Our Lady of the Assumption School is a catholic school that teaches Kindergarten to Grade 9, and is located in the neighborhood of Bowness in Calgary, Alberta. This school was built in 1957, and has its current system since 2019. User MSB-WG4 currently attends this school.
System Specifications
Panel
The panel is an Kidde VS4, installed in the 2010s. It most likely replaced an EST 6616 from the 1990s. The system has all strobes synchronized, and all horns doing code-3.
Notification Appliances
The notification appliances inside were updated in July 2019. They are EST Genesis GC-HDVM (white, ceiling, no FIRE marking) horn/strobes set on low volume, replacing G1R-HDVM horn/strobes. However EST Genesis G1R-HDVM (red, wall, no FIRE) horn/strobes remained in the gym and shop, but were moved to different locations. Outside, there is an EST Integrity CS405-8A-T strobe by the entrance. There were originally two, but one of them was removed in 2019. There is one EST WG4RN-HVMC (red, no FIRE) horn/strobes for outdoor notification as well, located by the tarmac.
Initiating Devices
The pull stations are all Edwards 270-SPO, but from different eras. Most are from the early 1990s, some from the mid 1990s, one newer GE branded 270, and a couple from 1970s-80s with the old E logo. There may also be a 270-SPO from 1957.
Automatic Detection Devices
There are EST SIGA2-PS smoke detectors throughout, from the 2010s when the Kidde was installed. Heat detectors are unknown at this time.
