Pfeiffer Elementary School Is a public K-5 School located in Akron, OH. The school was built in 1919 and the fire alarm system was added in 1954, and is still in use today!

FACP

The building is protected by an Autocall Model 3FA32W29TA coded fire alarm control system. It was  installed in 1954 when the school’s fire alarm system was automated, and is still in use after 65+ years! The panel is located in the boiler room. When in alarm the system does the marching cadence code 4-4-4-4.

Notification Appliances

The Notification Appliances consist of Autocall Model 351-N “Vibratone” dual projector mechanical horns. There are also Reiter Co. 12 inch manual trip bells attached a pull rod mechanism.

Pull Stations

The manual pull stations consist of Autocall Model NC Non-coded single action break glass stations. The is also a Reiter Co. manual pull rod attached to the Reiter Co. 12 inch manual trip bells and a switch that activates the alarms when the rod is pulled. The pull rod runs from the 3rd floor to the basement of the building
