The mall is protected by a networked Edwards EST3 hybrid-addressable fire alarm system. There are several panels, one has been found in the Safeway entrance vestibule, and there is another confirmed panel in the security office. The security office panel has a voice-evacuation mic on it; the system is not equipped with voice-evacuation, but when activated, it silences all the horns but keeps the strobes flashing, and the mic feed goes through the mall’s PA system. The system partially runs EST’s Signature-series protocol, and is configured for two-stage operation. The system coding is 20BPM in first stage (⅘ second blasts), and temporal for general alarm, however the system had a glitch in September 2018 during an alarm condition where the coding flipped to march time for a few seconds. The horns are noticeably out of sync. Prior to 2021, one of the NACs was set to continuous for general alarm. The system has been free of troubles since February 2022.

The notification appliances were redone in 2020, most likely for uniform sound. They are EST 757-7A-T (red, wall-mount, 15/75cd) horn/strobes, which replaced System Sensor “SpectrAlert” P241575A (red, wall-mount, 15/75cd) horn/strobes. These were set to continuous electromechanical horn. There is an EST 757-7A-TW on the ceiling in the hallway to the mall, which was the only alarm not replaced.
