TELUS World of Science is a science centre in Edmonton, AB. It is located near Coronation Park, NW Edmonton. The facility was built in 1984 as Edmonton Space Science Centre, then it was expanded in 2001 as the Odyssium. In 2005, the name was changed to Telus World of Science. The fire alarm system is not original, however some notification appliances may be. The centre has many facilities, including an IMAX theatre.
System Specifications
- Note: This is how the system looked as of July 2017, and is now undergoing an expansion, so the page may not reflect how the system looks today. However, as of this year, the system is still there.
FACP
The facility is protected by an Edwards EST3 addressable fire alarm system. There are many panels, and one has been spotted in the Discovery Gallery entrance. They were installed in 2012 as replacement panels for an older variant, which likely replaced an EST2. The system runs EST's Signature-series addressable protocol, and the system coding is most likely temporal.
Annunciators
There is an EST 3-LCDANN annunciator at the entrance.
