Element by Westin is a chain of 3-star hotels owned by Marriott. They are headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, USA, and have locations globally. This particular hotel is located at 2855 Sunridge Way Northeast, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The hotel opened in 2017, and the fire alarm system is original.

System Specifications

FACP

The hotel is protected by a Notifier NFS2-3030C addressable fire alarm system. The panel location is unknown. The system runs Notifier’s FlashScan addressable protocol, and is equipped with Notifier’s “Digital Voice Command” voice evacuation system. The system plays a temporal 520Hz tone in alarm.

Notification Appliances

The common areas have a mix of System Sensor “SpectrAlert Advance” SPCWA remote speakers (white, ceiling-mount) and System Sensor SPWA remote speakers (white, wall-mount). Each speaker has a System Sensor SWA remote strobe (white, wall-mount) mounted near it. The guest rooms have System Sensor SPRA remote speakers (red, wall-mount). The guest rooms also have System Sensor B200SRA sounder bases, which sound when the detector in that room has been activated; only the speakers will activate for a general building alarm.

Initiating Devices

Pull Stations

All pull stations are Notifier NBG-12LX addressable single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are Notifier FSP-851A addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the building. They are mounted on System Sensor B210LPA low-profile bases in common areas, and on B200SRA sounder bases in the guest rooms. [[]
