Spray Lake Sawmills Family Sports Centre, also known as SLSFSC or commonly shortened to Spray Lakes is a recreation centre in Cochrane, AB. It is located off of Griffin Road E, and is seen when you drive down Highway 1A into Cochrane. The facility was built in 2001, but was expanded in 2004 to add a fieldhouse, the turf, double gym, and running truck, 2009 to add two more arenas, and finally 2017 to add the pool and aquatic facility. The current system is from 2017. The rec center has 3 indoor arenas that are NHL sized, and two floors. This building also owns the original Cochrane Arena, though the system is not Notifier.

System Specifications

FACP

The fire alarm control panel is a Notifier NFS2-3030C system installed in 2017. An annunciator is located at the entrance at the 2017 expansion, and the main panel is right outside of Totem 1. It replaced an older Notifier NFS-3030C from 2009, which in turn likely replaced a Notifier AFP1010. The fire alarm goes off here every so often, and has all strobes synchronized.

Notification Appliances

In the original part, there is a mix of System Sensor "SpectrAlert" P1224MC (red, wall) horn/strobes that are original from 2001 and 2004, and System Sensor "SpectrAlert Advanced" P2R (red, wall) horn/strobes that replaced P1224MC horn/strobes that broke down over the years, though a few are from 2009 in Totem 2 and 3. The turf has six P1224MC horn/strobes, and the arenas have two horn/strobes each. The 2017 part has solely System Sensor P2R horn/strobes in the lobby. The changerooms of the pools have System Sensor "SpectrAlert Advanced" PC2R (red, ceiling) horn/strobes, and the pool has a mix of System Sensor P2R and P2RK (red, wall, weatherproof) horn/strobes. Outside the 2017 entrance, there is a System Sensor SRK (red, wall) remote strobe.
