The Rocky Mountain House Health Centre is a hospital in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, Canada. The hospital opened in 1971, expanded several times throughout the years, however the fire alarm system is from 2007.
System Specifications (2007-present)
FACP
The building is protected by a Simplex 4100U addressable fire alarm system. The panel location is unknown at this time, but was confirmed through a building report. The system runs Simplex’s IDNet addressable protocol, and is configured for two-stage operation. The first-stage signal is 20BPM, followed by temporal in general alarm. The panel also has a Simplex 4009 IDNet NAC booster. The 4100U most likely replaced an Edwards ESA2000 in 2007.
Annunciators
There are Simplex 4603-9101 LCD annunciators at the main entrance, nurse’s station, and emergency station.
Notification Appliances
All notification appliances are Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bells (10” gong) on Edwards 403-5A-R strobe plates (15cd), which were installed in 1997 from the previous system.
Initiating Devices
Pull Stations
All pull stations are Simplex 4099-9004CA addressable dual-stage single-action pull stations, replacing Edwards 270-GAO dual-stage pull stations to make the system fully addressable.
Automatic Detection Devices
There are Simplex “TrueAlarm” 4098-9714 addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the facility, mounted on 4098-9792 addressable bases. There is also a sprinkler system with waterflow detection.
Modules
There are Simplex 4090-9001 addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system's tamper and flow switches.
