Best Western is a large chain of midrange hotels headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. This particular hotel is located at 1947 18 Avenue Northeast, in the Vista Heights neighborhood of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The hotel opened in 1982, and was renovated in 2015. The fire alarm system is not original.

The hotel is protected by a Mircom FA-1000 conventional fire alarm system. The panel is located at the back entrance, and replaced an EST 6616. The system coding is likely temporal.
Notification Appliances
All notification appliances but one are Simplex 2901-9720 motor bells (6” gong). The breakfast room has a Simplex 2901-9723 motor bell (6” gong) as a deficiency replacement.
