Four Points by Sheraton is a hotel brand owned by Marriott that targets business travelers and small conventions. This particular hotel is located at 403 11 Ave, Nisku, AB, near the Edmonton International Airport. It was built in 2013, and the fire alarm system is original.
System Specifications (2013-present)
FACP
The building is protected by a Mircom FX-2000 addressable fire alarm system. The panel location is unknown. The system runs Mircom’s CLIP addressable protocol, and is equipped with the QX-5000 voice evacuation system. The system may be configured for two-stage operation, however the tones and/or messages are unknown at this time.
Annunciators
There are two Mircom BB-1002 cabinets in the lobby, next to each other. Both contain Mircom RAX-1048TZDS LED annunciators, one contains an RAX-LCD annunciator, the other space is unknown.
Notification Appliances
All notification appliances except for the guest rooms are from System Sensor’s “SpectrAlert Advance” line of products.
Common Areas
Most common area notification appliances are System Sensor SPSCWA speaker/strobes (white, ceiling-mount, set to 30cd). The lobby has System Sensor SPSWA speaker/strobes (white, wall-mount, set to 15cd).
Pool Area
The notification appliances in the pool area are System Sensor SPWKA weatherproof speakers (white, wall-mount) with System Sensor SRKA weatherproof remote strobes (red, wall-mount, set to 75cd) next to them.
Guest Rooms
All guest rooms have Mircom SP-104A-70 speakers (round, 4”, ceiling-mount, 70V) mounted after the entryways.

Pull Stations
All pull stations are either Mircom MS-401AD addressable single-action pull stations or Mircom MS-402AD addressable two-stage pull stations if the system is two-stage.
Automatic Detection Devices
There are Mircom MIX-2251BA addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout, including guest rooms. All are mounted on System Sensor B210LPA bases. There is also a sprinkler system with waterflow detection.
Modules
There are Mircom MIX-M500MA addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system’s tamper and flow switches.
