Holiday Inn is a chain of hotels owned by IHG. The chain is headquartered in Denham, England. This particular hotel is located at 2375 Mayor Magrath Drive South, in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, and is primarily known for its massive wave pool. The hotel opened in 1999, and was renovated in 2011. The fire alarm system is partially original.

System Specifications (1999-present)

FACP

The building is protected by an Edwards iO1000 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main entrance vestibule. The system runs Edwards' Signature addressable protocol, and the system coding is temporal.

The iO1000 replaced the original Edwards EST2 in 2023.

Notification Appliances

All hotel common areas have Edwards "Genesis" G1R-HDVM horn/strobes (red, wall-mount, no marking, set to 15cd), some of which are mounted on Edwards G1RT trim plates. These were installed in 2011 with the renovation. The following notification appliances are original.
All guest rooms have General Signal 682-1C mini-horns (white, wall-mount).
Tony Roma's has Edwards "Integrity" 757-1A-T remote horns (red, wall-mount) and Edwards 202-5A-T remote strobes (red, wall-mount, 15cd) mounted together.

Pull Stations

All pull stations are EST SIGA-270 addressable single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices

There are EST SIGA-PHS addressable photoelectric smoke/135°F fixed-temperature heat detectors throughout all common areas, mounted on EST SIGA-SB bases.

Modules

There are EST SIGA-CT1 addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system's tamper and flow switches.
