System Specifications (1988-present)
FACP
The building is protected by a Simplex 4100ES addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located in the main connection corridor from Building A. The system runs Simplex’s IDNet addressable protocol, and is equipped with voice evacuation. The evacuation tone is slow whoop, and has a custom voice message.
The 4100ES was installed in 2017, replacing a Simplex 4100+ network that replaced a 2120 in 1996.
Notification Appliances
Most notification appliances are Simplex 2902-9711 remote re-entrant speakers (red, wall-mount), mounted on Atlas-Soundolier TVTA-R mounting plates.
Common Market has Simplex 2902-9316 remote speakers (white, ceiling-mount, 8”, square).
The annex to E has Simplex 2902-9314 remote speakers (white, ceiling-mount, 8” round).
There are FIRE-DO NOT ENTER signs at annexes, with Simplex 4904-9101 remote strobes (red, wall-mount) behind them.
Initiating Devices
Pull Stations
Most pull stations are Simplex 4099-9001 addressable single-action pull stations.
There are Simplex 4099-9004 addressable single-action pull stations in some areas as deficiency replacements.
Automatic Detection Devices
There are Simplex “TrueAlarm” 4098-9714 addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the building, mounted on Simplex 4098-9792 bases.
Modules
There are Simplex 4090-9002 addressable relay modules for elevator recall and door magnet release.
