The Red Deer Resort & Casino is a hotel and casino located at 3310 50 Avenue, in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada. The hotel's amenities include a pool, a conference centre, and a fitness centre. The hotel was built in 1956, and was renovated in 2007. The fire alarm system was upgraded in 2013.

System Specifications (2013-present)[edit | edit source]

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by an Edwards EST3 addressable fire alarm system. The panel is located behind the front desk. The system runs EST’s Signature addressable protocol, and is equipped with voice evacuation. The system is configured for two-stage operation, however the messages and/or tones are unknown at this time.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

The notification appliances vary throughout the hotel. The hallways, lobby area, conference centre, and most other common areas have EST 757-5A-SS70 “Enhanced Integrity” speaker/strobes (70V, red, wall-mount). The pool area has System Sensor “SpectrAlert Advance” SPRKA speakers (70V, red, wall-mount) with EST CS405-7A-T weatherproof remote strobes (red, wall-mount, 15/75cd) beside or underneath them.

Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

All pull stations are EST SIGA-270P addressable two-stage single-action pull stations.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There are EST SIGA-PS addressable photoelectric smoke detectors throughout the facility. The detectors in the rooms are mounted on EST SIGA-AB4G sounder bases, and are mounted on EST SIGA-SB bases in common areas. There is also a sprinkler system with waterflow detection.

Modules[edit | edit source]

There are EST SIGA-CT1 addressable monitor modules supervising the sprinkler system's tamper and flow switches.

EOLs[edit | edit source]

There are Edwards EOL-P1 end of line resistor plates on all sprinkler and signal circuits.
