15450 105 Ave NW is the address given to a commercial building in Edmonton, AB. It was originally built in 1973 as the Canora School which closed in 1999, and since then consists of The Turkish Canadian Society, and White Hall Day Care & Out Of School Care. The fire alarm system was mostly upgraded in the late 1980s, one pull station and bell are original.

System Specifications (late 1980s-present)[edit | edit source]

FACP[edit | edit source]

The building is protected by an Edwards 2280 conventional fire alarm system. The panel location is unknown. The system coding is continuous.

Annunciators[edit | edit source]

There is an Edwards annunciator in the main entrance vestibule, model to be confirmed.

Notification Appliances[edit | edit source]

All notification appliances but one are Edwards 439D-10AWC vibrating bells (10” gong).
The hallway to the gymnasium has an Edwards “Durabel” 6100D vibrating bell (10” gong), left over from the original system.

Initiating Devices[edit | edit source]

Pull Stations[edit | edit source]

Most pull stations are Edwards 270-SPO conventional single-action pull stations.
There is a Gamewell “Century” M46-23 conventional single-action pull station at the daycare exit.
There is an Edwards 275-C111 conventional single-action pull station installed in the stairwell as a deficiency replacement.

Automatic Detection Devices[edit | edit source]

There are System Sensor 1400A conventional ionization smoke detectors in most areas.
Some areas have Edwards 282A conventional 135-degree fixed temperature/rate-of-rise heat detectors.

EOLs[edit | edit source]

There are Edwards EOL-P1 end of line resistor plates on all circuits.
